Background and Rationale

Update on Project Northstar, the implementation of the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that replaces the county’s existing Summit and Aspen systems. In 2023 and 2024, the county completed a needs assessment and released an Request for Proposal for the new ERP system. In April 2025, the members of the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approved funding for the ERP contracts to begin implementation of the project.
